Bio:

Alrazi Albudaiwi’s professional career spans 14 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing communication, advertising, journalism and TV Production.
His diverse professional background includes working in a number of leading institutions in Kuwait such as Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), EQUATE Petrochemical Company and Caviar Creative Firm. He is currently a Vice President at Kuwait Financial Centre “Markaz”, where he heads the Department of Media and Communications.
Mr. Albudaiwi has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Journalism and Electronic Media from the University of Oregon, USA. He also received executive training in Digital Media at Sciences Po University in Paris and in General Management from University of Chicago, Booth Business School.

Abstract

The presentation will attempt to explore a range of questions about the business use of Social Media in GCC, such as how can businesses in GCC use social media for achieving their different business objectives? What are the factors driving the use of social media by companies and challenges in leveraging social media? It will also discuss the presence of businesses, preferred social media platform in GCC region and case studies for industry-wise utilization of the major social media platforms.
